Frequency and Health

Several years ago, God invited me on an adventure of discovery that hasn’t ended! While I was receiving some continuing education training, I was introduced to the connection of frequencies and our overall health. This information really revolutionized my approach to promoting wellness in the clients I was counseling. I would love to invite you to join me on this journey and maybe we can encourage each other as we uncover some amazing treasures in God’s design of us and the world around us. Let’s start by unpacking some information about frequencies. Everything emits frequency. A frequency is a measured point of a vibration or energy. The dictionary puts it this way, “frequency is the rate at which a vibration occurs that constitutes a wave, either in a material (as in sound waves), or in an electromagnetic field (as in radio waves and light), usually measured per second.”

Michael Tyrrell, in his book The Sound of Healing, discussed the idea of resonance by describing a guitar string vibrating when a note is played. He says,

“ Sympathetic resonance or sympathetic vibration is a harmonic phenomenon wherein a formerly passive string or vibratory body responds to external vibrations to which it has a harmonic likeness.” This explains the feeling we have when someone shares a thought that “strikes a chord” in us. We say, “That really resonates with me.” You can probably think of a time when you met someone and instantly felt a connection with that person. Likewise, you may remember a time you couldn’t get away fast enough from someone because of the negative feelings you were experiencing. This non-verbal information that is being processed in our limbic system is called limbic resonance or vibration.

Whether we realize it or not, we are always releasing a frequency signal to everyone around us. This signal is either promoting positive vibrations or negative vibrations to the receivers. One signal is life giving and the other is depleting or draining. Just like a battery has a negative and a positive side- one pulls and the other gives, people are made with this same energetic design.

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing (I Thessalonians 5:11, NIV).

Being a source of life giving frequency promotes health in our own bodies and in our relationships with others. Various studies have been conducted that show how negative thoughts can lower our bodies frequencies by several MHz while positive thoughts, prayer, and meditation can increase levels significantly.

There is an interesting story in the Bible about King Saul and David found in

 I Samuel 16:23:

And so it was, whenever the spirit from God was upon Saul, that David would take a harp and play it with his hand. Then Saul would become refreshed and well, and the distressing spirit would depart from him.

The frequency being released as David played the harp brought not only refreshment to Saul but spiritual freedom as well.

Steps in Pursuit

  1. Take some time to evaluate what kind of frequency your thoughts and words are producing. Are you releasing positive frequency from your life or negative frequency?
  2. Experiment with music this week. What kind of music helps to promote positive energy and mood?
  3. Be intentional to release positive frequency at home and work. Observe the responses of those around you. Do you notice people being drawn closer to you as you release the encouraging vibrations to others around you?

I don’t know about you but I’m hearing The Beach Boys hit single, Good Vibrations, playing in my head… good, good, good, good vibrations….

Continue the Pursuit,

Denise
